Sheepdog Herding Demonstration  

The sheepdog herding demonstration lasts for about 40 mins.

There is an explaination of commands, including information about the training of the sheepdog by the farmer from a young puppy to the present day. The farmer also talks about farming in the West of Ireland, how it is carried out and how farmers have adapted to changes throughout generations on this farm.

Visitors are welcome to hold lambs in the season. After your demonstration you can also try out the ancient method of "panning" for gold and are welcome to keep any jewels found. We also have picnic tables and nice walks on the property.

The viewing area is covered if the weather is inclement.

Booking is required for this demonstration.
